About Me

My name is Masha, and I’m a portrait and branding photographer based in Tampa, Florida.

I was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in a family of artists. My mother was a ballerina, and my father was an artist who painted churches and monasteries. At the time, I didn’t fully realize how much that environment would shape me — but looking back, it became the foundation of how I see and create today.

My father showed me how to notice light, color, and composition — how subtle shifts can completely transform what we see. From my mother, I learned a sense of posture, grace, and the quiet strength in feminine movement.

I carry both into my work.

Photography didn’t begin as a clear path for me. It started quietly — through observation. In the middle of everyday routines, I found myself noticing small, almost hidden details: light in the morning, stillness within a busy day, the kind of beauty most people pass by. Picking up a camera gave me a way to translate what I was seeing. What began as curiosity slowly became something more intentional.

When I moved to the United States, photography evolved into my profession. I spent years photographing weddings, building experience, and refining my approach. Over time, my work shifted toward portrait and branding photography — where connection, direction, and presence matter most.

Today, my work is not just about creating beautiful images. It’s about understanding the person in front of me — how they want to be seen, what feels natural to them, and guiding them to that place where everything aligns.

Most people don’t come to a session knowing how to pose or feeling fully confident in front of the camera. And they don’t need to. That’s my role. What matters to me is what happens during the experience. There’s a moment I see often — when someone relaxes, lets go of overthinking, and begins to see themselves differently. More confident. More present. More aligned with who they are. And that shift is what makes the image.

Photography, for me, is not just about capturing how someone looks. It’s about seeing them — sometimes before they see themselves.

If this feels like something you’ve been looking for, I’d love to create something together.
